One Thing in Common – 24hrs!

(A revised post to form part of your year-end reflections…)

Life is busy! That is something most of us know very well. As we transition from one phase of life to another, we find ourselves taking on more responsibilities without receiving relief from our previous menu of responsibilities. In addition, we don’t get more hours in a day either! Many people feel like 24hours a day isn’t enough for them because life’s to-do list keeps piling up! If you ever feel like that, you are not alone.

However, take a moment to think about someone you look up to career-wise, family-wise, etc. The one thing they have in common with you is that they also have 24 hours in their day, right? The problem with most of us is that we give too much of our 24 hours to habits that distract us from a productive life.

How much UNPRODUCTIVE time do we spend on social media (YouTube, Tiktok, FB, Instagram, etc), idle chat, tv and so on and so forth. It is not to say, we should totally give up social media and television in order to be productive, but rather to advise that we structure our days and allocate time to these activities so that we do not give too much of our valuable time to activities that do not support the present or future we desire to build. We MUST be intentional about personal time management.

God, in His wisdom gave us 24 hours in each day, and that my colleagues, is sufficient. Let’s use our time wisely.
