Let’s talk about this…
If youโre respectful, hardworking, eager to grow, and genuinely care about your work, but youโve been made to feel like thatโs โtoo muchโ or โnot enoughโ, please hear this: itโs not a sign to change who you are. Perhaps, it’s your environment that needs to change.
Sometimes, dysfunction punishes what should be celebrated.
Being kind isnโt weakness.
Having high standards isnโt being โtoo much.โ
Asking questions and seeking guidance isnโt incompetence.
Caring about your work isnโt naรฏve.
Too many talented people in Zambia are second-guessing themselves because of toxic workplaces. Please, na papata (I beg of you), donโt let a bad system convince you to change the best parts of yourself. Hold onto the good parts of you. The right workplace wonโt just tolerate them, it will value them.
Proverbs 15:2 “The tongue of the wise adorns knowledge, but the mouth of the fool gushes folly.”
